Terms And Conditions

Wandsworth Cleaner Service Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Wandsworth Cleaner provides cleaning services to customers. By booking or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a booking.

1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions, the following expressions have the meanings set out below:

Client means the individual or business booking or receiving cleaning services from Wandsworth Cleaner.

Company means Wandsworth Cleaner, the provider of cleaning services.

Services means the cleaning services provided by the Company as agreed with the Client.

Premises means the property or properties at which the Services are to be carried out.

Cleaner means any employee, contractor, or representative engaged by the Company to deliver the Services.

2. Scope of Services

The Company provides domestic and commercial cleaning services within its advertised service area. The scope of work for each booking will be agreed with the Client at the time of booking, based on the type of service selected and the information provided by the Client.

Unless expressly agreed in writing, the Services do not include the cleaning of areas that are not reasonably accessible, the removal of hazardous materials, or any tasks that would put the Cleaner at risk to health or safety.

The Company reserves the right to decline or discontinue Services if the Premises are deemed unsafe, unsanitary to an extreme level, or if the Client behaves in an abusive, threatening, or inappropriate manner towards any Cleaner or representative of the Company.

3. Booking Process

Bookings may be made through the methods indicated on the Companys website or other authorised channels. When making a booking, the Client must provide accurate and complete information, including but not limited to the size and condition of the Premises, the type of service required, and any special requirements.

All bookings are subject to availability. The Company will confirm acceptance of a booking and provide the scheduled date and time for the Services. A booking is not considered confirmed until the Client has received confirmation from the Company.

The Client is responsible for ensuring that the Premises are accessible at the agreed time. In the event that the Cleaner is unable to gain access, the booking may be treated as a late cancellation and the relevant charges may apply.

The Company reserves the right to reschedule a booking in the event of unforeseen circumstances, such as staff illness, extreme weather, or events beyond the Companys reasonable control. In such cases, the Company will offer the Client an alternative appointment.

4. Client Obligations

The Client agrees to provide a safe working environment for the Cleaner, including adequate lighting, power, and access to hot and cold water where reasonably required to perform the Services.

The Client must ensure that the Premises are free from hazards and that any fragile or valuable items are put away or clearly identified. The Client is responsible for notifying the Company of any items that are particularly fragile, valuable, or require special care.

The Client must ensure that any necessary approvals or permissions to allow access to the Premises have been obtained in advance of the appointment.

5. Pricing and Quotations

Prices for Services will be communicated to the Client at the time of booking or upon request. Quotations are based on the information supplied by the Client and on the assumption that the Premises are in a standard condition for the type of service requested.

If at the time of service the Premises differ significantly from the description provided by the Client, or if additional work is requested, the Company reserves the right to adjust the price accordingly. Any change to the price will be communicated to the Client before the additional work is undertaken.

All prices are quoted in pounds sterling and, where applicable, will indicate whether they are inclusive or exclusive of any applicable taxes.

6. Payments

Payment terms will be advised to the Client at the time of booking. The Company may require full or partial payment in advance, or accept payment on completion of the Services, depending on the nature of the booking.

Payments must be made using the methods accepted by the Company. The Client is responsible for ensuring that payment details provided are correct and that payment is made on time.

Where payment is not received by the due date, the Company reserves the right to suspend further Services and to charge interest on overdue amounts at a reasonable commercial rate until payment is received in full.

For ongoing or recurring services, the Client authorises the Company to take payment in accordance with the agreed schedule. Any changes to ongoing services, including frequency or scope, may result in a change in the price.

7. Cancellations and Rescheduling

The Client may cancel or reschedule a booking by giving the Company notice within the minimum notice period specified at the time of booking. If the Client cancels or reschedules with less notice than required, a cancellation fee may be charged.

Where a cancellation fee applies, it will normally be a fixed amount or a percentage of the service price, as communicated by the Company. The purpose of the cancellation fee is to cover the costs incurred by the Company in scheduling and allocating resources.

If the Cleaner is unable to access the Premises at the scheduled time due to circumstances within the Clients control, this may be treated as a late cancellation and the cancellation fee may apply.

The Company reserves the right to cancel or refuse any booking where it reasonably believes that it may be unable to perform the Services safely, lawfully, or to a reasonable standard. In such cases, any advance payment for services not rendered will be refunded to the Client.

8. Standards of Service and Complaints

The Company aims to provide Services with reasonable care and skill. If the Client is not satisfied with any aspect of the Services, the Client should notify the Company as soon as possible, ideally within 24 hours of the service being carried out.

Upon receiving a complaint, the Company may request further information and may arrange for the Cleaner to return to the Premises to rectify any issues, where appropriate and reasonable. The Companys liability in relation to unsatisfactory service will be limited to providing a rectification of the service or, at its discretion, a partial refund.

9. Liability and Insurance

The Company will exercise reasonable care in selecting Cleaners and in delivering the Services. The Company maintains appropriate insurance cover in respect of public liability. Evidence of insurance can be made available upon request.

The Companys liability for loss or damage arising from the provision of the Services shall be limited to direct losses up to the amount of the relevant service fee for the appointment during which the loss or damage occurred. The Company shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or economic loss, including loss of profit, loss of opportunity, or loss of enjoyment.

The Company will not be liable for any pre-existing damage or for damage resulting from normal wear and tear, defective materials, or the Clients failure to follow instructions in relation to any item or surface.

The Client is responsible for securing any valuable items and for notifying the Company of any items of particular sentimental or financial value. The Company shall not be liable for the loss of cash, jewellery, or other high-value items unless specifically agreed in writing.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall limit or exclude the Companys liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other matter for which it would be unlawful to exclude or restrict liability.

10. Access, Keys, and Security

If the Client provides the Company or the Cleaner with keys, codes, or other means of access to the Premises, the Company will take reasonable care to ensure their security. Keys may be labelled in a way that does not directly identify the Premises.

The Client is responsible for ensuring that all doors and windows are secure before and after the Services, except where the Cleaner has been specifically instructed to lock up on departure. The Company will not be liable for any loss arising from the Clients failure to secure the Premises.

11. Waste Handling and Environmental Regulations

The Company complies with applicable waste and environmental regulations relevant to its cleaning activities. The Cleaner will dispose of general domestic waste generated during the course of normal cleaning into the Clients designated bins at the Premises.

The Services do not include the removal or transportation of large quantities of waste, bulky items, construction debris, or hazardous materials. Hazardous materials include, but are not limited to, asbestos, clinical and medical waste, certain chemicals, and any substance that may be harmful to health.

If the Client requires removal of waste beyond the normal household or office waste handled during cleaning, this must be agreed separately and may be subject to additional charges and specific regulatory requirements.

The Client remains responsible for arranging collection of their waste by authorised waste carriers and for ensuring that any waste storage facilities at the Premises are safe, lawful, and suitable for use by the Cleaner.

12. Health and Safety

The Company is committed to maintaining high standards of health and safety for Clients and Cleaners. The Cleaner will not undertake any task that, in their reasonable opinion, presents a risk to their health or safety or that of others.

The Client must inform the Company of any known hazards at the Premises, such as loose flooring, exposed wiring, or the presence of hazardous substances. The Company may suspend or terminate Services if the Premises are considered unsafe.

13. Supplies and Equipment

Depending on the service option selected, the Company may supply cleaning products and equipment, or may use products and equipment provided by the Client. Any such arrangements will be agreed at the time of booking.

If the Client requires the use of specific products or methods, this must be communicated in advance. The Company will not be responsible for damage or unsatisfactory results arising from the Clients insistence on using specific products or methods against the recommendation of the Company.

14. Force Majeure

The Company shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations where such delay or failure results from events or circumstances beyond its reasonable control. These may include, but are not limited to, acts of God, extreme weather, pandemic, strikes, transport disruptions, or failure of utilities.

In such circumstances, the Company will use reasonable endeavours to notify the Client and to reschedule the Services as soon as reasonably practicable.

15. Privacy and Confidentiality

The Company will handle any personal information provided by the Client in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Personal information will be used only for the purpose of managing bookings, providing Services, processing payments, and communicating with the Client.

The Company will take reasonable steps to keep the Clients information confidential and will not disclose it to third parties except where necessary to deliver the Services, process payments, comply with legal obligations, or with the Clients consent.

16. Amendments to these Terms

The Company may update or amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any changes will take effect when posted or otherwise communicated to the Client and will apply to bookings made after that date.

For ongoing service arrangements, the Company will notify the Client of any material changes to these Terms and Conditions. Continued use of the Services after notification will constitute acceptance of the updated terms.

17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter or formation, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or their subject matter or formation.

18. General Provisions

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed deleted, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

Failure or delay by the Company in exercising any right or remedy under these Terms and Conditions shall not constitute a waiver of that or any other right or remedy.

These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the Client and the Company in relation to the provision of Services and supersede any previous agreements, understandings, or arrangements, whether written or oral, relating to the same subject matter.
